Abstract(in English) Recent optical network systems need the optical channel monitor (OCM) for monitoring the signal power of over 40-wavelength channels. We have developed the AWG-based OCM that consists of an arrayed-waveguide grating (AWG) and chip-scale packaged PD arrays. In this paper, we show the fabrication of the AWD-based OCM, and also report its characteristics. We confirmed that the responsivity was more than 0.40A/W and the error for signal power detection was less than 1dB at the OSNR of over 13dB.
