Abstract(in English) We investigated precise measurement methods for half-wavelength voltage, chirp paramter, extinction ratio of Mach-Zehnder modulators. Recently, very high extinction ratio over 70dB and ultra low chirp under 0.01 were achieved by using an active trimming technique. In addtion, precice and high-speed lighwave control or modulation would be very important in advanced modulation formats, such as 256 quadrature amplitude modulation.
