Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper studies an effective relay system based on optical wireless communication between the mobile terminal (MT) and the relay station to eliminate the drawback of electromagnetic wave interference to electro-medical apparatus in indoor communication system. RF subcarrier optical communication system using Intensity-modulated Direct-detection (IM/DD) is adopted and its transmission performance is evaluated by simulation. Moreover, optical signal and RF signal diversity receiving method is proposed and quantitatively evaluated in downlink. An optical spatial transmit diversity scheme based on subcarrier phase control is also studied in downlink.
