Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) NICT is conducting research on Ultra-realistic communication since April in 2006. In this research, we are aiming at creating natural and realistic communication though developing multisensory interface with vision, sound, touch and smell. We are closely collaborating research to construct a prototype of Ultra-realistic communication system with developing more objective measurement technique using brain image and psychophysics. In this paper, outline of our research and experimental results regarding human perceptual measurement and cognitive mechanism of feeling "presense" is introduced.
