Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, according to downsizing of connectors which applied to automobile, reductions of contact load in connectors are required. For ensuring connecting reliability, it is serious problems that occurrence of fretting corrosion, which is a typical problem of low-load electrical contacts happens. In this study, initial behavior of fretting corrosion of tin plated contacts which is widely used in automotive connectors was clarified in more precise. Fretting corrosion is assumed and examined. Namely, fretting track was observed in early stage of fretting corrosion by scanning electron microscope, and verified the wear progression that is caused contact resistance increase and the accumulation of wear debris.
