| Abstract(in English) | The demand of home-based care services for elderly are increasing rapidly in Japan in recent years since the number of elderly people increases. The home-based care services require many professionals having various talents. Though they should share tacit knowledge about care services and cooperate with each other in order to improve the service standard, there have been many problems and troubles regarding sharing and cooperation. This is because many professionals are distributed geographically, so it is difficult to communicate frequently with each other. Professionals in the fields of home-based care, medical care, nursing care have to spend much time to share the distributed tacit knowledge which should be share in order to provide optimal and cost-effective service. We have developed a secure and accessible knowledge management system for home-based care services for elderly in order to share tacit knowledge of home-based care services. It provides a model for an information management system which provides sharing, networking and coordinating tacit knowledge. |
