Abstract(in English) In order to overcome the disadvantages of external modulation-based multi-wavelength optical sources, we have realized multi-wavelength generation (over 10 15GHz-spaced channels) from a laser diode (LD) with direct sinusoidal modulation, confirming the feasibility for optical communications through optical spectrum, Relative Intensity Noise (RIN), eye pattern and Bit-Error-Rate (BER) (of a 10Gb/s NRZ-modulated signal) measurements of a single filtered channel, and also obtained improved results using the same method at a modulation frequency of 15GHz.
