Abstract(in English) | This report is just about, an overview of the characteristics of intonation in Urdu (The language of Pakistan). The term intonation refers to the temporal changes of the fundamental frequency (F_o). For this study, I recorded about thirty Urdu sentences, in which ten are just one or two words, takes three or fewer seconds to play. Ten sentences are about ten second or less. Ten sentences are about or less than thirty seconds. One is about five minutes long. The aim of study is to find intonation of the Urdu language, its stress or non-stress language, its word accent and focal accents. |
