Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) These days, e-mails have become one of the most important communication tools, and hence demand on certified e-mails is growing. Although some commercial services provided by intermediate agent, like U.S. Postal Service, have already launched, they are not used commonly because of costs and reliabilities. In this paper, we propose a protocol which enables users to exchange certified e-mails and receipts without using intermediate agents. Our protocol uses a gradual secret exchange protocol proposed by Okamoto and Ohta. We also discuss how to implement our protocol on a system.
