Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a novel approach to achieve high accuracy for location estimation in wireless LAN environment. The main idea of the proposed approach is to exploit meaningful access points extracted by using principal component analysis to clarify differences between positions within a given estimation area. In this approach, the estimation process is divided into two phase; i.e., global estimation phase and local estimation phase, due to the difference between meaningful access points in the location estimation for global area and local area. We have conducted the evaluation for the proposed estimation approach. The results indicate that the proposed approach can achieve the average estimation error of 2.46[m] while the error for existing approach is 6.47[m].
