Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose a user-friendly motion capture system. This system uses two Web cameras on the market and each camera takes a picture of the upper-body of the user wearing the simple color markers at shoulders, elbows and hands. The system tracks markers using the particle filter. Camera calibration can be carried out easily using user's specific posture. 3D coordinates of each marker are restored from movie pictures, and the arm posture of avatar is controlled by the coordinates. This system is confirmed to have efficient accuracy for personal use. |
