| Abstract(in English) | In multi-hop wireless networks using CSMA/CA protocol, retransmission of data packets according to decode-and-forward method and the intra-flow contention between multiple wireless nodes transmitting the same flow cause the degradation in transmission performance. In order to improve the transmission performance of multi-hop wireless networks using CSMA/CA and OFDM modulation scheme, this paper proposes dynamic subcarrier selection technique and MAC layer protocol for multi-hop wireless networks. In the proposed technique, each wireless node first senses the entire subcarriers and locates the available subcarriers based on a carrier sensing. After each node locates the available subcarriers, each node estimates the channel condition of available subcarriers and assembles discrete subcarriers having good channel conditions for transmission of data packets. In the proposed technique, because the data packets can be transmitted by using subcarriers having good channel conditions, packet error rates in each hop and spectrum efficiency will be improved. In addition, because all subcarriers are not used only by one link, multiple nodes can get the transmission opportunity at the same time, and the degradation in transmission performance due to intra-flow contention will be solved. Numerical results show that the throughput of multi-hop wireless networks can be much improved by using proposed technique. |
