Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Serially-Concatenated LDGM (SCLDGM) codes are attracting attention with very low encoding complexity and low error-floors. However, two-phase (inner and outer) decoder complicates the implementation and increases the decoding time. This problem can be solved by applying turbo decoding structure to SCLDGM codes. In this report, we consider EXIT (Extrinsic Information Transfer) analysis and design criteria using it of SCLDGM codes with turbo decoding. This new design criterion has an advantage in that it can design inner and outer codes and iteration number, that is decoder-wise design criterion. In computer simulation, we show good BER (Bit error rate) performance of SCLDGM codes with turbo decoding designed by the proposed method.
