Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We review adaptive pulse control using spatially localized pulses in two-dimensional composite right- and left-handed (CRLH) transmission lines periodically loaded with Schottky varactors. The wave propagation on a two-dimensional Schottky CRLH line is described well by the two-dimensional nonlinear Schrodinger equation. It is found that spatially-localized pulses can develop in the line. Moreover, the behavior of the pulses can be managed by the voltages biasing the Schottky diodes. The method of the development and management of spatially-localized pulses is described.
