Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Many iterative methods are implemented on the GPU for high performance computation, but are limited to single precision floating point accuracy. The popular conjugate gradient method is influenced by the rounding error, and the necessary iteration to convergence is increased under the single precision accuracy. In this paper, we improve convergence of conjugate gradient method, and MGCG method on GPU by partially using pseudo double precision calculation. As a result of improvement, the necessary iteration to convergence is decreased, and converges faster than single precision calculation. On the other hand, the improvement of MGCG was only achieved by bias correction.
