Abstract(in English) In this paper, we consider the relationships between anthropometric parameters and HRTFs of the sound image localization in the median plane for the purpose of construction of general-purpose dummy head. In general, it has been pointed out that accuracy of the sound image localization using HRTFs of a dummy head is lower than that of a real head in the median plane. It is well known that the characteristics of HRTF depend on the pinna shape in particular in the median plane, and there are great differences between individuals. Therefore, construction of general-purpose dummy head which has higher vertical localized accuracy is expected. Then, we measured anthropometric parameters and HRTFs of real heads and three kinds of commercially available dummy head. Furthermore, we tried to compare and classify measured anthropometric parameters and HRTFs, and correlate between them by use of statistical analysis. As a result, we found out effective anthropometric parameters related to characteristics of HRTF.
