Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Various combinatorial optimization algorithms have been proposed and applied to various problems in many fields. As one of those algorithms, neural network models, which are a kind of parallel processing systems, have been utilized to find an optimal solution of some given problem. Such an algorithm based on the neural networks can optimize objective functions by decentralized processing. Therefore, this approach is considered suitable for solving optimization problems in heterogeneous and distributed wireless networks. In this paper, decentralized optimization algorithm based on the neural dynamics is applied to the problems in wireless networks, such as load balancing. Furthermore, the neural network based algorithm is implemented on laptop PCs for distributed decision making. The results show that this approach can optimize the total system by distributed processing on the terminal side.
