Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, many services become more reliant on a network presence, and advanced fault-tolerant networks that can be operated uninterrupted in the event of wide-scale disaster are required. The advanced fault-tolerant networks are still behaving well in the cases of power loss, network cable failure and partial infringement of the system. A useful application that works with the network in normal times is as close as network maintenance management system and it is beneficial to work correctly for the network at the time of disaster. In this study, we developed a wireless Ad-Hoc Network having fault-tolerant functions and a Regional Protection System as an application using the network. We put this system into effect at Shiojiri-city in Nagano prefecture and evaluate the ability of the network and the system.
