Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When an asynchronous MAC protocol is used in wireless sensor networks, it is hard for a sender node to know whether the target node is in the listening state or in the sleeping one. Therefore, even if any routing protocol is used, latency is increased when the number of hops increases in a multi-hop environment. To solve this problem, we propose a relay control scheme to select a relay node based on attribute information, not based on address information as in conventional ones. In the proposed scheme, the relay node candidates are the ones who have the attribute corresponding to information from a sender, and then the node who moves into the listening state first is selected among the candidates. Our simulation results show that latency is reduced more in the proposed scheme compared to X-MAC.
