Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It will be necessary to develop advanced OS environments for reconfigurable systems that have reconfigurable devices as programmable resources. We have been developing reconfigurable systems and OS for them. Our first target reconfigurable system is FPGA cluster based on shared bus, and FPGAs as reconfigurable resources and host processor are tightly coupled with the bus. In this paper, as our second target system, distributed FPGA cluster which is connected by network, and its OS are described. If the number of reconfigurable resources is large, it is easier to build the distributed cluster than to build the tightly coupled cluster. We are developing common programming interface for the tightly coupled FPGA cluster and the distributed FPGA cluster.
