Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, transmission over the Gaussian MIMO broadcast channel (BC) with null constraints is formulated as transmitter optimization programming, where perfect channel-state-information is assumed. This approach is applicable to spatial spectrum sharing, and to various multiuser MIMO, MIMO-mesh network and base station cooperation scenarios where null constraints exist at the transmitter antenna weights. The sum-capacity bound and achievable region boundaries are derived via minimax Lagrangian duality for the sum-power and per-antenna-power cases, and for full-null (nullspace) constraints and partial-null constraints where the maximum interference levels at the nulled elements are controlled. A method for precoding is introduced, where user-precoding is performed over a BC with a modified channel, which we refer to as the "nulled BC". Under sum-power constraints, the "SINR-matching" duality is used on the nulled BC to obtain sum-capacity and near-sum-capacity precoding for full-null and partial-null constraints, respectively.
