Abstract(in English) | In this report, the novel cooperative sensing method for a spectrum sharing between the cognitive radio network (secondary user) and the existing system (primary user) is investigated. Not only the sensing performance but also the secondary user performance in terms of efficiency of spectrum utilization are evaluated. In the most of conventional methods, the false alarm probability based detection design criteria has been employed. However, in this case there is not guarantee of the primary system performance. On the other hand, we employ a miss detection probability criterion which has the guarantee of the primary user performance. In this criterion, the threshold design of the detection is difficult when we assume realistic channel model. We derive a threshold numerically under assuming the path-loss and log normal shadowing. In addition, to design the threshold, the transmit power level at secondary user is set preliminarily. On the other hand, we derive the allowable maximum transmit power, while the miss detection probability criteria is satisfied, by the observed test statistic. It can extend the area where the secondary user can utilize the spectrum. We propose the selection of transmit power level by the cooperative sensing. By computer simulation results, the proposed method can achieve more effective spectrum utilization, while the miss detection probability is maintained, compared to the conventional method. |
