Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Lately, the light emitting diode (LED) has been drawing attention because of its high performances. And it has come to be used for a lighting system by low cost. Because LED is DC drive, when LED is made to light up with AC power source, it is necessary to overcome various problems. Especially harmonics current flows into AC power line, and it may have influence to apparatus, it needs to consider a harmonics current problem according to electric power capacity. As solution of such a harmonics current problem, power factor correction (PFC) circuit is used with switching mode power supplies. However, the PFC circuit has defects, such as complicated circuit composition, high cost, and size. Therefore we have proposed the half-bridge type power LED drive circuit with a low input current harmonic distortion. This paper shows the simulation results.
