Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An induction-coil type electrodeless lamp system provides some essential advantages compared to conventional lamps, i.e. extremely long life, instant starting, high system output, and is expected as a new light source. A charge-pump inverter circuit is useful for an induction-coil type electrodeless lamp systems, and the input AC current harmonics can be reduced by an additional diode and a small capacitance. However, the circuit operation is too complicated to understand because of the load characteristics including an induction-coil is more complicated than conventional lamps, and a induction-coil is involved into the resonant circuit. This paper derives an equivalent circuit model of a induction-coil type electrodeless lamp, and the way to design the charge-pump circuit to limit input harmonics.
