An output voltage sensing technique for digital controlled isolated SMPS

Abstract(in English) Digital controlled switching mode power supplies are spreading. However, digital control inevitably increases cost thus a cost reduction method need to be considered. On the other hand, in isolated switching power supplies, stabilization control of the output voltage can be achieved by sensing the output voltage on the secondary-side and transmitting it to the primary side via insulating devices in generally. However, the drawbacks of insulating devices are linearity, life-span, and etc in some cases. To struggle with these problems, we propose the usage of digital controlled isolated switching mode power supplies capable in controlling output voltage without using the insulating device.
