Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Authors are designing Ubiquitous Service Platform which extends coverage and data utilize for sensor network with fix and mobile network integration technologies such as the NGN/IMS. We think "Ubiquitous Health Monitoring System" which requires safe data handling on wide coverage is a typical application of this platform. Because XML documents are used by various types of sensors and applications, this platform uses XML formats to ease of integration. There are two point to keep in mind. 1) The XML format standard is not exist. 2) New XML formats are generated for novel services and devices. Then this system cannot limit to use specific XML format. On the IMS, a XML database called XDMS which stores, monitors and notifies data for applications. However, it cannot store generic XML document without pre-registration and process for plural stored XML documentations. Then, in this paper, authors point out the need to making Xquery enable XDMS to manage flexible XML documents and show the design and usage.
