Abstract(in English) | 100-Gb/s-class high-speed transmission technology is essential to realize future 100G Ethernet transmission over wide area networks. Optical OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is promising for high-speed transmission because of its superior tolerance to chromatic dispersion and polarization mode dispersion. We proposed novel electro-optic subcarrier multiplexing scheme to generate a high speed optical OFDM signal. We have successfully generated 100G-class optical OFDM signal and demonstrated a transmission experiment over 80-km ITU-T G.652 single-mode fiber without dispersion compensation. |
