Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a method of driving coordinate transformation using Dual-Drive Mach Zehnder (DDMZ) Modulator in pre-coding for chromatic dispersion compensation in optical transmission systems. DDMZ modulator cannot operate well without a coordinate transformation in inverse of transfer function. However, this process has not been studied in detail. This paper proposes that the Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer (CORDIC) algorithm well creates the coordinate transformation processing in inverse function. Computer simulation shows that the DDMZ modulator is well driven by the proposed method without degrading the eye diagram and bit error rate.
