Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study investigated relationships between positive mood and communication behaviors. In this study we identified positive mood in 2 factors, active-positive and nonactive-positive, although previous studies treated as 1 factor. Firstly, 33 pairs of strangers had a conversation for 6 minutes. Secondly, they watched one of 3 films inducing active-positive mood, non-active positive mood or neutral mood for 6 minutes. Finally, they had conversations again. The results showed that active-positive mood increased frequency of hand-movement for women. By contrast neutral mood increased frequency of hand-movement for men. Additionally, this tendency was salient for first 2 minutes. Lastly we discussed positive mood as a facilitator of communication behaviors.
