Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Image matching technique has been expected to be developed for object recognition. Holographic memories have high recording density and high transmission rate via volume hologram and page batch readout. We note that the phase information of the light is recordable in the holographic memories, and propose an ultra fast image matching technique based on phase only correlation. We show this technique offer higher ability to discriminate than that using conventional correlation technique. We also show it is able to improve processing speed dramatically by matching input image with lot of reference images simultaneously.
