Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Hazardous event rate is formulated for the overall system involving the safety-related system (SRS) with the 1-out-of-2 redundant architecture. Here, dangerous detected (DD), dangerous undetected (DU) and common cause failures can occur in each channel of the SRS. Numerical analysis is performed based on the formulation of the hazardous event rate. Then, it is found that the common cause failures are dominant over the hazardous event rate for many cases.
