Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Link adaptation is widely used in WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) and WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) to allow the system best fit into current channel condition. In this paper, we derive a model to express IEEE 802.15.3 MAC throughput with frame length, channel condition and modulation mechanisms as parameters. Based on this model, we propose a link adaptation policy that applies to mmWaveWPAN (Millimeter Wave WPAN). The proposed policy offers a method to adapt ACK scheme and frame length to maximize the mmWave WPAN system throughput.
