Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Constellation rearrangement (CR) has been recently proposed as a promising repetition strategy that significantly increases the immunity against Gaussian noise. The CR was originally proposed for hybrid-ARQ (HARQ) systems, but is also applicable to other systems that have multiple orthogonal links such as cooperative communications. In this paper, we apply the CR to cooperative communications in which a single relay node cooperates the communication between a pair of source and destination nodes in the framework of ubiquitous sensor networks. We also propose a threshold-based relaying scheme that can reduce the transmission power of the relay node in conjunction with CR.
