Abstract(in English) 800MHz band Field Pick-up Unit (FPU) system is mainly used at live marathon programs to transmit the live camera picture from the moving vans. We are studying the elemental technologies for high data rate and robust transmission system to realize the next generation FPU system. Forward Error Correction (FEC) is one of the important issues of the transmission system. Low-density Parity-check (LDPC) code and, as its application, Serially-Concatenated Low-Density Generator Matrix (SCLDGM) code are the strong technologies to improve the system robustness. In this paper, we propose a novel LDGM structure optimized for the SCLDGM codes. The SCLDGM code optimized by the proposed LDGM structure shows the better performance than the SCLDGM code constructed with the conventional LDGM structures.
