Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an iterative channel estimation in frequency domain for a dynamic spectrum control based single carrier transmission. To accurately and efficiently estimate long channel impulse response given by the composite of the actual delay profile and delay profile by the spectrum selection in the dynamic spectrum control, the proposed scheme employs an iterative type frequency domain channel estimation scheme in which the received signal is divided by the expected symbol sequence fed from the channel decoder in the frequency domain to obtain tentative estimates of the channel frequency response, and equalizer, channel decoder and channel estimation are repeated based on turbo principle. One of the problems for the frequency domain channel estimation using the expected symbol sequence is that power spectrum density for the expected symbol sequence is not uniform, thereby accuracy of the estimated frequency transfer function is different frequency by frequency. To overcome this problem, the proposed channel estimation also includes an averaging process in which the estimated channel frequency response is averaged over plural subframes. Computer simulation based on extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) analysis confirms that the proposed scheme is effective in accurate and efficient estimate of the channel frequency response for the turbo equalizer.
