Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The number of users of Central Japan International Airport that has opened aiming at the international hub airport in the central part of Japan in February 2005 reaches one million per month in totals of the international and domestic flights and is still growing. In such a large airport, sometimes there is a problem that a checked-in passenger does not appear at the boarding time. Currently for this case, it is solved by a lot of human resources. To efficiently solve these troubles, a human movement tracking system is thought to be a great candidate. It can also provide helpful information to a passenger such as the aircraft schedule, airport facilities, and route in airport, and help airline companies manage effectively with holding each passenger's position in the airport. In this report, we describe the outline and results of experiment on human movement tracking system in Central Japan International Airport.
