Frequency Utilization Efficiency Improvement by Superposed Multicarrier Transmission Scheme

Abstract(in English) A superposed transmission is one of the most effective wireless communication schemes to solve the radio frequency resource depletion problem. In this paper, we propose superposed multicarrier transmission scheme which enables frequency spectrum sharing without any spectrum spreading technologies. In our novel interference suppression scheme, FEC encoded packets are decoded after the metrics of interfered subcarriers are replaced to median values in the receiver. The proposed scheme is able to improve the BER performance degradation even if high power interference signal is superposed. Computer simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme achieves higher frequency utilization efficiency than conventional one without metric replacement.
