Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) HARQ (Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request) is employed for the 3GPP E-UTRA downlink. Each mobile terminal sends its ACK/NACK to the base station via PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control CHannel). The ACK/NACK signals from mobile stations are code spread by the cyclic shift CAZAC (Constant Amplitude Zero Auto-Correlation) sequences first, and then spread by the orthogonal sequences. The ACK/NACK signals from each mobile station are multiplexed by means of CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), however, it is difficult for the conventional PUCCH structure to satisfy the required BER (Bit Error Rate) of 10^<-3> in the fast fading environments. This is because of the orthogonality loss among the orthogonal sequences in the conventional PUCCH structure and the inter-code interference degrades the BER performance of ACK/NACK signals. In this paper, we propose a new PUCCH structure which can suppress the inter-code interference among the orthogonal sequences. And simulation evaluations show the proposed structure can significantly improve the performance of the ACK/NACK signals via PUCCH especially in the fast fading environments.
