Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Channel tracking scheme is essential to achieve reliable wireless communications under fast fading environments caused by surrounding vehicles. In a coherent detection, decision feedback is a well-known channel tracking scheme. This is the scheme in which replica signals are generated and channel estimation is done by the replica signals by treating as training symbols. However, because the channel estimation performance depends on the SNR at the symbol time, decision feedback error occurs by the lower SNR caused by the fast fading. The feedback error degrades the transmission performance significantly. In OFDM systems, time domain 0-padding scheme is a well-known channel estimation scheme. Although better channel tracking performance is expected by applying the 0-padding scheme, the tracking performance is degraded when employing guard bands in the OFDM transmission. In this paper, we propose an improved time domain 0-padding scheme for the OFDM systems employing guard bands, and show the better performance through computer simulations.
