Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Polarimetric scattering characteristics of targets depends on incidence angle, frequency, polarization, and resolution. To understand these characteristics of targets, a variety of target classification methods are used. This report presents polarimetirc scattering characteristics in the Ku-band about models of buildings assumed urban areas. Polarimetric scattering characteristics of targets in the Ku-band is expected to be one of the key features as next generation airborne and satellite SAR application. A laboratory experiment using four-component decomposition of polarimetric scattering characteristics with Ku-band POLSAR supported the theoretical result.
