Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A quasi rotation experiment of a ring resonator fiber optic gyroscope (R-FOG) with a sensitivity of 0.8°/s under the control of a digital processor is demonstrated. The digital controller is developed to track the laser diode central frequency drift and compensate for the imperfect 2π modulation voltage of the phase modulator. In the experiment, the digital serrodyne modulation technique with symmetric shifted frequency is applied. According to the numerical simulation, its optimal serrodyne frequency is in the range of 100~120kHz.
