Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Time-Resolved measurement for homogeneous scattering medium consist of diluted milk has been studied. Backward scattered optical pulses were measured using a time correlated single photon counting method at the wavelength of 0.78μm. Optical parameters of scattering medium are estimated by minimizing the difference between theoretical and experimental pulse amplitude. In order to apply time-resolved measurement for medium with large optical densities, only backscattered pulses were utilized for optical parameters estimate. As a results, it has been become clear that optical absorption and scattering coefficients (μ_a and μ'_s) are increased in proportion to densities of the scattering medium. Mie theory was used to convert μ_a and μ'_s measured in this study to the values at the wavelength of 0.66μm and compared with μ_a and μ'_s measured by frequency domain methods. It became clear that μ'_s measured by the both methods are in good agreement.
