Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a 2D face recognition algorithm using Phase-Only Correlation (POC). A major problem in face recognition is that the recognition performance is significantly influenced by the facial expression changes. The facial expression changes decrease the recognition performance in the both cases of using 2D facial images and 3D face data. Addressing this problem, we propose a 2D face recognition algorithm using Phase-Only Correlation for face images with expression change. Our proposed algorithm consists of two steps: (i) normalize rotation and scaling using feature points on face images and (ii) calculate the matching scores using the POC-based sub-pixel correspondence search. Experimental evaluation using the AR Face Database demonstrates efficient recognition performance of the proposed algorithm.
