Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To efficiently develop and achieve applications over ubiquitous computing environments, a new framework, on which each object can be coordinated without centralized servers, should be established. We have been studying and developing a platform-PIAX (P2P Interactive Agent eXtensions), with which information and services can be coordinated based on the agent communication model. PIAX is a platform, which has two key features-P2P overlay network and mechanism for distributed agents, and provides the common operation of objects and scalable object-discovery functions. This paper reports the autonomous service-provision method and implementation overview based on PIAX. This paper also describes the application models based on PIAX.
