Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a packet transmission suppression control method for VoIP capacity expansion in Wireless LAN. The proposed method suppresses packets transmission of each station within the QoS (Quality of Service) allowable range in order to expand a VoIP capacity of an AP without critical QoS degradation for all stations. Simulation results show that the proposed method with 0.5% packet suppression control on each station expands a VoIP capacity by up to 4% compared to a legacy method without packets transmission suppression, while the proposed method satisfies required QoS for all stations.
