Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a space-time medium access controL (space-time MAC) protocol which adaptively controls antenna directivity. The key features of the space-time MAC protocol are (1) to establish handshake without information on terminal location. (2) to recognize the link state information which includes its own signal to interference ratio (SIR) margin, and to broadcast it to neighbor terminals. We simulate the performance in comparison of space efficiency with conventional omni-MAC protocol and directional-MAC protocol. As a simulation result, the proposed space-time MAC protocol exhibits (1) enable to establish handshake without information on terminal location, (2) a higher space efficiency than location-based techniques, (3) a space efficiency twice as omni-MAC, 1.3 times as DMAC.
