Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Home NodeBs or femto cells are expected to expand coverage and increase transmission speed in indoor environment. However, macro cell radio capacity decreases due to the interference from femto cells where the same radio frequency as that in macro cells is used. In this report, we evaluate the radio capacity degradation of macro cells in both uplink and downlink CDMA cellular systems. As a result, the macro cell radio capacity decreases by 3.9% in uplink and by 18.6% in downlink when 200 Home NodeBs are introduced and the transmission power of femto UEs and Home NodeBs is -35dBm and 13dBm, respectively.
