Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, IMS is becoming important as the key to all-IP network. While IMS provides call control function based on SIP protocol, seamless mobility for real-time applications should be supported. Several mobility protocols such as SIP-based mobility, Mobile IP and Proxy Mobile IP can be considered in all-IP network. In this paper, we firstly analyze these mobility protocols for IMS network and conduct a performance analysis of handoff time, and then propose the media path optimization for Proxy Mobile IPv6 in an IPv6-based testbed. These analyses provide us with some guidelines in terms of the applicability of these protocols for IMS network.
