Abstract(in English) We have been developing tools for quality evaluation and monitoring, which is one of important activities in area of communications network maintenance. In this area, there arise 2 issues because of recent movement to IP technologies and broadband network. One is the necessity to evaluate the connectivity of equipments from customers to the service providers. The other is to have quality evaluation methodology for new services including video media, which traffic has been increasing. In this paper, 2 approaches of the quality evaluation and monitoring tools are described, which we are trying to cope with the issues.
