A Study on Estimation Method of Fault Location for Optical Network

Abstract(in English) Recently, high quality of communication service is requested. When a network fault occurs, it is needed to detect the fault location for rapid repair. There are many studies of method of fault location. But it is difficult to detect physical fault location with a link-fault in Optical Network. We propose a new method of physical fault location for Optical Network. In this method, the spatial temporal data is constructed from facility data. And it is able to match facility data with various data by setting Time and Location as a common search key. With this method, a system can estimate physical fault location by matching a line alarm from network monitoring system with construction information of network facilities.
